What does "color calibrated" mean? Are you saying I do not need to do my own color calibration for LR and Photoshop? Also, is there an ICC profile for this monitor?

Asked by: patty24
'Color Calibrated' means that the colors on the LG 27" Class 4K UHD IPS LED Monitor with HDR 10 (27" Diagonal), Model # 27UL500-W have been calibrated at the factory to ensure that they are accurate and maintain accurate color on the screen and prevent gradual changes. You will need to buy a calibration system that consists of calibration hardware and software. When you install the software and run it, a setup wizard will guide you through an automated sequence to build a profile automatically. The profile will then be loaded in your settings within your computer's operating system. The profile helps to make sure that you have a shared standard color palette between your computer and the monitor. Ambient lighting and how it effects the brightness in your monitor profile is as using a monitor profile for color and unless you have the same ambient lighting conditions as those for the factory, it is always recommended that you still calibrate the monitor according to the ambient lighting in the location you will have the monitor installed. If you're just a hobbyist photographer who is learning the ropes, you may not see a need to calibrate the monitor outside of the factory color calibration...^IFV
